whoa.
jo is right. Maybe i should stop letting my sadness run through my writing. It can really be a perpetually sick cycle. It's an addiction to feeling hurt. You know, the more hurt you feel, the more real you are. What a load of bs. And sadly, i believe in that every now and then.
Didn't get to buy me book today. Philip Yancey really expresses the complexities of life with an eloquence like no other. He seems to be able to break down the equations of faith, life, death and pain to their bare essentials, all without diluting the main essence of it all. Neil Gaiman, on the other hand, throws away all my struggles with the questions of life, and builds up the simplicities of life to the most beautiful(or horrific, in some instances) worlds and the most whacked out tales. So which one do i need now? A little escape into fantasy land, or some wise cracking up of my mind? The answer is... i just need a freaking book to pass my time at jurong island this week man. And for bdo too.
Try this: take the hymn, 'i believe in a hill called calvary', and try to fit it into 'i believe in a thing called love'. Yes. And then sing it out aloud in church. Lovely...
Yeah, nowadays, i'm in the 'screw it' mood when i go to nlc. On worse days, its the 'screw you' mood. 'Screw you' sundays are not good, not good at all. I scare myself on those days... Today has been a 'screw it', mixed with a pinch of 'screw myself' day. So it ain't that bad.
"Well I've been thinking bout the future
But I'm too young to pretend
It's such a waste to always look behind you
Should be lookin' straight ahead
Yeah, I'm gonna have to move on
Before we meet again
Yeah, it's hard
If you had've only seen"
-Move On, Jet
Well it still hurts a little i guess. But it seems that i'm getting over it slowly. And the fact that i'm able to get over it still hurts, nevertheless. It doesn't matter what the end state is. What matters is that i'm moving on to somewhere else. For that i'm glad.
